Peer pressure means influence by a peer group in encouraging a person to change his or her attitudes, behavior, or appearance. Young people such as children, teens are more influenced by their peer gruop. Teens want to get acceptance from their peer group. They want to be in a cool group, and so they want to look like their peer group. They sometimes change fashion style, interests, and behavior. Peer pressure has positive and negative aspects.
Positive peer pressure might improve grades, confidence in their school life. It might give a chance to choose the best from what the masses do and lead to make the right choices in life. Also it might helps relationship and improve communication.

There are some ways that helps teens with peer pressure. Try to create a space for open conversation, Watch a sign of change and be supportive.
Peer pressure does have strong influence on teenagers. If teennagers can get positive effects from their peers then their parents and teachers should encourage them to learn from these peers. However, it is more often that the negative influences surpass the postitive ones. This is really a challenging issue for parents. However, parents can help their kids to be less influenced by their peers by encouraging them to develop their own individuality and confidence and to be sure about themselves. If a teenager is confident, and courageous and be able to know what is right, he or she may have positive influence on his or her peers and then everyone can get benefits.
답글삭제Peer pressure effects on my life entirely. Most teenagers follow their friend's talking not their parent's talking . it might happen a bad things for individual if they were doing a bad behavior, or it might be a very good motivation for each students by doing a good behavior .So friends behaviors are the most important influence for each student .
답글삭제Hello Amy! Your presentation was very interesting, and you actually did a great job. I haven't known about this issue; thus, the information you gave us was new and made me think about it a lot. I totally agree with the idea "a group can affect an individual". In your presentation, although you just limit that "group" can be a group of students, I think "group" also can be a community, a society, or a country. Obviously, people (citizens) are able to be affected by the norms and social issues to become good or bad people. Besides, I think not only teenagers but adults are also affected. Overall, the development of an individual definitely depends on the community where they live.
답글삭제I have been interested in peer pressure. We are alwaysn influenced each others. Especially, when we are young, we are significantly influenced by peers. However, I think negative effect of peer pressure are strong than positive effect, because we more apt to be attract bad behavior.
답글삭제Consequently, parents and teacher have to encourage the student to establish own their identity.
Wow, you did a great job in your presentation. The information you give is very useful. Congratulation! We are finished.
답글삭제Hello Amy, I want to say that the presentation was very interesting and meaningful. I think that the teen's influence is a strong social phenomenon that can have a positive or negative effect. Children are receptive to everything that surrounds them, and absorb someone else's opinion as a sponge absorbs water. Remembering myself as a child, I am glad that I avoided the harmful influence of peers. Thank you for the opening this topic=)
